Editorial Policy

This Editorial Policy explains how Team Foodie selects, prepares, reviews and corrects recipe content. It helps readers understand what our articles can and cannot represent.

Topic selection

We choose recipes and cooking topics that answer practical reader questions, suit the site’s categories and add a useful method, variation or explanation. We avoid publishing near-duplicate pages solely to target slightly different search phrases.

Research and writing

Articles may draw on established cooking methods, product information and reputable food-safety guidance. We write measurements in metric units and distinguish facts from suggestions. Health or nutrition statements require careful wording and should not promise treatment or guaranteed benefits.

Testing and AI assistance

Some recipes are independently cooked and photographed; others are researched editorial recipes. We only describe a recipe as tested when that is accurate. AI tools may assist with drafting, editing or illustrative images, but a person reviews the final article. AI-generated images are illustrative and do not prove a cooking test.

Nutrition and allergens

Nutrition values are estimates based on stated quantities and servings. Brands and substitutions change the result. Readers should check packaging and seek qualified advice for allergies, medical conditions or specialist diets.

Links and commercial content

Internal links should help readers find related recipes. External sources should support a factual claim or provide useful context. Sponsored or affiliate relationships will be disclosed clearly in the relevant content.

Corrections

We correct material errors and may update, merge or temporarily unpublish older work. To report an issue, email inquiry@teamfoodie.com with the page URL and details. Significant safety concerns receive priority.
